Excel Category 5e Patch Panels comply with the currrent standards for enhanced Category 5. Each panel offers a choice of labelling with the option to use the screen printed fields on the panel facia or the slide label system which is enclosed with each panel. Ease of installation is assured with ample rear cable management positions and LSA IDC blocks. A choice of port density – either 16 or 24 ports per 1U of rack space – is available to suit all applications. Each panel is available in a choice of colours to allow identification of either applications, departments or services.
A wide range of competitively priced patch leads to Cat 5e or Cat 6 are also available.
Excel Category 5e UTP Patch Leads are manufactured, tested and independently verified to the ISO11801 Category 5 1999 and EIA/TIA 568 Addendum 11 draft standards for enhanced performance. Each cable consists of 8 colour coded stranded 24AWG conductors twisted together to form 4 pairs with varying lay lengths. The soft PVC outer sheath, coupled with the stranded conductors, results in a highly flexible cable. The heat resistant UL rated outer sheath is clearly printed with specification details. A choice of jacket colours enables departmental or application identification, where necessary. Cables are available fitted with plastic strain relief boots, for applications that may require continuous patching or a degree of stress relief applied to each cable. The booted is shaped, to also provide protection to the latch of the connector.
Excel Category 6 UTP patch leads are manufactured and tested to ensure the installed cabling system is compliant with the EIA/TIA/ISO/IEC + EN channel specification requirements. Performance matched and "tuned" to the performance characteristics of the Excel category 6 range these leads will provide optimum performance levels. A choice of lengths and colours are available, each cable has a patented stepped plug assembly to maximize performance, strain relief boots are fitted as standard and each cable is supplied individually bagged.
